Who

Noam Makover is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends acoustic and electronic sound worlds with a refined, personal aesthetic. Raised in Westerly, Rhode Island, Noam moved to Miami at the age of 17, where he studied at the Frost School of Music and continued to deepen his artistic practice across genres and cultures. He is currently transitioning to Los Angeles, with his Fall 2025 Artist Residency at Wilcox Park and the Westerly Library serving as a meaningful return to his hometown and a bridge between chapters in his evolving career.

Known for his curiosity, sensitivity, and sophisticated musical language, Noam approaches every project as a dialogue — between people, environments, and sound. He has won multiple awards throughout his musical journey and his compositions have been performed across the country.

From an early age, Noam was drawn to the expressive possibilities of music across cultures and eras, gradually developing a mature and distinctive idiom that merges classical sensibilities, electronic experimentation, rock roots, and contemporary aesthetics. His compositions often explore layered textures, unexpected harmonic shifts, and subtle rhythmic patterns, resulting in soundscapes that are both intricate and accessible.

Noam’s artistic voice is grounded in constant learning and exploration. Whether collaborating with other artists, experimenting with new technologies, or drawing inspiration from literature, film, nature, and life, he treats each project as an opportunity to deepen his understanding of music as a living, communicative force. His work ranges from solo compositions and sound installations to collaborative recordings and genre-blending performances.
